Job Title: Temporary Credit Control Officer
Location: Leicester, UK (Hybrid: 3 days in the office, 2 days at home)
Contract Type: Rolling 3-Month Contract
Salary: £15.38 per hour
Job Description:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Temporary Credit Control Officer to join their finance team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in credit control and excellent communication skills. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement, with three days in the office and two days working from home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the company's credit control system.
- Chase overdue invoices via phone, email, and letters.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare and distribute regular reports on outstanding debts.
- Liaise with internal departments to resolve billing issues.
- Negotiate payment plans with customers when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a credit control role.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Knowledge of accounting software is a plus.
