We are delighted to have been retained by Trent & Dove Housing to appoint a Head of Housing on a fixed term contract basis for a minimum of 12 months as maternity cover.

You will bring a proven background in leading Housing Management services and will be qualified to at least CIH level 4. After the initial onboarding period, this will be an agile working role with two days per week based at the Trent & Dove offices in Burton on Trent.

You'll have a strong understanding of the customer and be a capable people manager, providing direction, support and where required, staff development.

In addition to your operational responsibilities, you'll also be involved in recruitment decisions and key strategic projects.

Your personal approach will align with the values and behaviours of Trent & Dove - you be happy to take responsibility, be visible and bring a presence. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you'll attend senior leadership, board and committee meetings, and be comfortable with both governance processes and reporting.

Previous Non-Executive Director experience is not essential but you will ideally have an understanding or knowledge of working with public sector organisations given the relationship with Birmingham City Council.

Experience of working within the Local Authority sector, you will be MRICS qualified with expertise in landlord & tenant work and have a proven track record in commercial contract negotiation and management. This is a hybrid working role with an expected two days per week in the office

This role would be ideal for an individual with strong leadership and teamwork skills, who can bring experience of working with key stakeholders, managing support staff and cross-disciplinary teams
