    We are recruiting for a leading manufacturing company based in Grantham, seeking a dedicated and experienced Credit Controller to join their dynamic finance team. This is a full-time position with the opportunity for permanent placement after a successful probationary period.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage and maintain the credit control function for the company
    • Chasing outstanding debts and ensuring timely payment from customers
    • Evaluating and setting credit limits for customers
    • Conducting credit checks on new customers
    • Resolving customer queries related to invoicing and payments
    • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer records

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in credit control
    • Strong proficiency in Excel and other relevant financial software

    Main responsibilities of the role:

    To ensure that an effective Payroll service is provided to all employees. Work effectively and efficiently with our payroll provider and support the finance office with an effective payroll service. Support the sales and purchase ledger staff with the raising and paying of invoices.

    • Maintain and update payroll records and employee files to ensure accurate records are kept at all times and that all electronic filing is in order.
    • Co-ordinate employee starter and leaver process.
    • Ensure accurate information is given to our payroll provider for the payment of salaried staff ensuring all new starters and leavers are notified to them in line with the timescales.
    • Prepare and process weekly timesheets for the various companies across the Estate ensuring accurate and update information is provided to the payroll provider.
    • Posting of payroll journals by company to the finance system as soon as all of the payrolls have been checked and verified correct.
    • Support the purchase ledger clerk with the processing of invoices ensuring that they are paid to the correct companies.
    • Support the Finance Manager with the raising of sales invoices and any other work which may be required.
    • Act as the first point of contact for all day-to-day HR and payroll queries and adhoc requests via telephone, email and face-to-face, both internally and externally.
    • Chasing all outstanding debts ensuring that all monies are paid promptly.
    • Handling office tasks, managing filing for accounts, generating reports, as required, assisting with the accounts department and some data input.
    • Any other duties required to fulfil the requirements of the post.

    The post holder will comply with all standards, policies and procedures set by the business including, but not limited to, those governing child protection, health and safety, GDPR, confidentiality and equal opportunities.

    The post holder is required to:

    • Maintain polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Procurement Support: Assist in the procurement of materials necessary for the manufacturing process.
    • Chase Purchase Orders: Follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely processing and delivery.
    • Supplier Management: Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality standards. Chase suppliers to ensure that the goods are delivered on time and confirm delivery dates.

    Macildowie are delighted to be partnering with South Kesteven District Council to recruit for a Visiting Officer. This pivotal role involves ensuring the efficient and effective collection of Council Tax and Business Rates through hands-on visits and inspections across the district.

    Reporting into the Income Recovery Team Leader, this role will see you travel across the region (in a fully expensed pool car) engaging with businesses and domestic properties.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Visit and inspect domestic and commercial properties to gather accurate information for the collection of Council Tax and Business Rates.
    • Inspect empty properties and gather relevant details from new occupants regarding ownership and key changes, in line with the ongoing programme of reviews.
    • Document and photograph properties during visits to ensure accurate records.
    • Conduct site visits and monitor property changes, updating council records as required.
    • Collect and record details on changes to occupied premises when necessary.
    • Undertake visits to domestic properties subject to disabled relief and gather all relevant evidence.
    • Work with information from Building Control and Planning, updating records for new builds and changes weekly.
    • Raise reports to the Valuation Office Agency for new builds, property alterations (e.g., extensions, demolitions, mergers), and process Valuation Office schedules in a timely manner.
    • Issue completion certificates for newly constructed buildings, ensuring all evidence is gathered and properly recorded.
    • Maintain an accurate database, ensuring property information is up to date following each visit.

    Ideal Candidate:

    We are looking for someone with excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work independently. Previous experience in property inspections or a related field would be an advantage but IS NOT essential as full training will be provided.

    You will be required to drive and as such should possess a full driving license and the ability to build relationships with a wide range of individuals.
