Are you an experienced finance professional seeking a new challenge? Macildowie, in exclusive collaboration with a reputable business just south of the City Centre, is seeking a dynamic and hands-on Sales Ledger/Credit Control Team Leader to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis.

In this newly crafted role, you'll be leading a proficient ledger and credit control team, both on-site and remotely. Your goal? Ensuring flawless payment and collection procedures while providing supportive and flexible leadership for your team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • People Leadership: Lead and mentor a compact team, conducting performance appraisals, individual meetings, and workload allocation.
  • Credit Control Management: Oversee credit control processes, proactively addressing and handling account inquiries to sustain smooth operations.
  • Sales Ledger Supervision: Reconcile payments across diverse platforms-cash, card, and direct debits-in alignment with the ledgers.
  • Invoicing Management: Supervise daily invoicing routines to keep the financial engine running smoothly.
  • Financial Documentation: Regularly update cashbooks to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Compliance: Ensure meticulous maintenance of customer files in compliance with internal controls and regulations.

To Excel in This Role, You'll Need:

  • People Leadership Experience: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, focusing on talent development and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Credit Control Expertise: Proficient in credit control management, with a track record of resolving account queries and ensuring timely payments.
  • Sales Ledger Competence: Strong understanding of sales ledger processes, including reconciliations and invoicing, to navigate complex financial landscapes.
  • Communication Skills: Outstanding communication abilities to effectively guide and collaborate with your team and other stakeholders.
  • Qualifications: Either hands-on experience or a relevant accounting qualification to enhance your expertise.
